In February 2025, in conjunction with LEAP Sports' Football v Homophobia month, Glasgow Saints held its third annual open training session against homophobia.
As was the case with the previous years, by purchasing tickets, attendees were also actively participating in community action aimed at encouraging the participation of LGBTQ+ people in sport.
Proceeds from ticket, raffle, and bake sales supported several important initiatives: Gender Goals - Scotland's first trans and non-binary football club; The Sideline Podcast - run by two brilliant queer footballers sharing women's football stories; plus supporting LGBTQ+ players right here in our club. The open session attracted around 50 players from all across Glasgow.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, baked and supported. It was a fantastic night, and we look forward to seeing you at future events.
